Featured Grant in Developing Educational Leaders: Hampton University
The Kenan Trust awarded a multi-year grant to Hampton University for the Leadership Excellence Advancement and Development (LEAD). The cornerstone of the program is the Leadership Academy for Faculty which provides HBCU faculty with access to advanced leadership training and mentoring resources. Grant funding also supported a Leadership Summit which was designed to bring together faculty, administrators, and academic professionals interested in gaining leadership skills through workshops and discussions focused on best practices in leadership. Finally, the Trust provided funding for a Leadership Podcast Series which features stories and insights from HBCU faculty, administrators, and other professionals which highlights the distinct challenges and achievements of each leader.
