Kenan Jr.'s adult life was centered on innovation and new ideas. The Trust honors his legacy with a focus area dedicated to innovation in education.

Innovation in Education

The Trust welcomes projects in the area of Educational Innovation from K–12 schools, post-secondary institutions, and nonprofits providing services to educational entities. Funding in this area is reserved for projects that advance novel ideas aimed at improving student outcomes.

Grants in this area are by invitation only, and sizes vary depending on the capacity of the applying organization and the scope and reach of the proposed project.
