Rooted in William R. Kenan Jr.’s commitment to humanitarian values, the Kenan Trust works to promote regional or state-wide programs that combat food insecurity and enhance the quality of life for individuals and communities.

Food Insecurity

The Trust’s work in Food Insecurity prioritizes efforts that expand the availability of fresh, culturally relevant foods and reinforce resilient regional food systems. Grant support is available for regional or state-wide food banks or food hubs that have projects aimed at expanding access to fresh, nutritious food.
